Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship

The clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship offers an intensive, integrated training experience focused on fundamentals of the specialty as well as the newest technologies and procedures. Our fellowship provides unparalleled opportunities, including clinical electrophysiology, pacing and research.

In our two-year, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited fellowship, you will experience a wide range of training approaches and modalities, including the following:

  • Daily rounds with an attending electrophysiologist providing patient care
  • Didactic teaching in theory and technique during performance of electrophysiology studies and in twice-weekly conferences
  • Twice-weekly lectures in all aspects of electrophysiology
  • Frequent ECG and intracardiac “unknown” tracings for interpretation
  • Extensive pacemaker troubleshooting and reprogramming
  • Weekly discussion of important journal articles
  • Extensive experience with new and advanced technologies such as:
    • Laser extraction
    • Cryothermal ablation
    • Robotic catheter navigation
    • 3-D mapping systems
    • Advanced intra-procedure imaging integration
    • Epicardial ablation
    • Implantable hemodynamic monitors

You’ll be encouraged to participate in research and can choose from a wide range of project opportunities, building essential critical thinking and manuscript preparation skills.

All applicants will have completed an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship or its equivalent. We do sponsor J-1 and H1-B visas.
