Wellness

The Rush Neurology Residency is dedicated to promoting resident well-being.  We pride ourselves in supporting a fun and family oriented learning environment, while helping each resident learn burnout prevention, relaxation and mindfulness techniques, and develop team-building skills.  There are several GME and Institutional level resources for well-being, counseling, and assistance, including the new Rush Center for Clinical Wellness. Please refer to the GME House Staff Benefits and Services website to review the full range of benefits and services that support our residents.

Our program has several active initiatives to promote wellness, burnout recognition and management, fatigue mitigation, and professional as well as personal well-being:

  • A dedicated Wellness Chief Resident and Social Chief Resident
  • Dedicated wellness related conferences within our didactic schedule
  • Resident Wellness Families with an attending "Parent"
  • Annual PGY2 Wellness Retreat
