Jon is thrilled to join Rush Plastic Surgery as the Microsurgery Fellow. A Chicago-area native from Northbrook, he pursued his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at Tulane University, where he also discovered his love for cooking at Brennan's Restaurant in New Orleans.
He returned to his roots for medical school at the University of Illinois Chicago, just across the street from his current fellowship home. During medical school, Jon completed a research year at the University of Michigan's Burn Wound Regeneration lab, focusing on advanced technologies for burn victims. His plastic surgery residency at the University of Florida solidified his dedication to complex reconstructive surgery, aiming to help patients return to normal function and appearance. He is eager to apply his diverse background and passion for innovation to the field of microsurgery at Rush.
In his free time, Jon is an avid cook, enjoys making pottery, and caring for his two dogs (a retired racing greyhound and GSP) with his partner.
