Our Third Year Fellows

Name	Background
Image Jiwon Lee Wang, MD	Jiwon completed her medical training at the Seoul National University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. She then worked as a research coordinator at Northwestern University Medical Center and at University of Illinois Chicago. She completed her pediatrics residency at Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. In her free time, Jiwon enjoys watching shows, doing Pilates and traveling.
Image Sruti Uppuluri, MD	Sruti completed her undergraduate education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she studied biochemistry and biophysics. She attended medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada and completed her pediatrics resident at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Sruti is a certified yoga instructor, and in her spare time she enjoys running along Lake Michigan, practicing Indian classical dance, cooking, and reading thriller novels.

Image Sheenu Chirackel, MD	Sheenu completed a combined BS/MD program at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. She is currently completing her pediatric residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital of Oakland, California. She is currently working on a multicenter randomized trial that studies bias, medical errors and communication quality for patients who are non-English speaking, as compared to those who are English speaking. She is also spearheading a breastfeeding task force with an interprofessional team to promote breastfeeding in the NICU and enhance institutional funding to support breastfeeding. In her free time, Sheenu enjoys photography, board games, playing soccer and reading.
