- Our interview invitations are offered on a rolling basis after October 6, 2026.
- We will not offer more interview spots than we have openings.
- Applicants have at least 72 hours to respond to an interview invitation prior to the invitation being offered to someone else.
Signaling:
The signaling system for Internal Medicine/Pediatrics will be used for the first time this year. Though we are using program signals as part of our holistic review process for interview selection, please know that program signals do not guarantee an interview. Our advice is to work closely with your medical school advisors and incorporate their input into your decision making about which programs receive a signal from you.
Second look visits:
We understand that during interview season the various virtual tools available to learn about programs and cities have worked well for many applicants, but for others a chance to visit a place in person is what they need to finalize their rank list. With that in mind, we do plan to offer the option to visit our city and campus late in the match season but before your lists are due. We will share the details of these plans with those selected to interview at RUSH, but early enough in the season to allow planning for travel. We love sharing Chicago, our hospital and our program culture and look forward to the chance to do that this year.
