We look for applicants with a clear passion for psychiatry who would like to make Chicago their home for the next four years and hopefully beyond. We like to see applicants with demonstrated leadership skills, who are interested in improving their community, and who are flexible, adaptable, and can work well as a member of our team.
We accept eight residents each year into our program.
We accept applications from September through December each year through the Electronic Residency Application Service, or ERAS.
A complete application must include:
We do not have any USMLE or COMLEX minimum score requirements or fail attempt limits. We do like to see that residents have passed both Step 2 / Level 2 exams prior to the MATCH. Please remember to update your transcript in ERAS as we check for application updates throughout the recruitment season.
Our program can sponsor both J1 and H-1B visas.
The American Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requires that all applicants have “sufficient command of English to permit accurate and unimpeded communication.” We accept applications from international medical graduates. In addition to having a sufficient command of English, the ACGME also requires that these applicants obtain a valid ECFMG certificate.
If you have additional questions regarding our eligibility requirements, please visit our program on FREIDA Online (Fellowship and Residency Electronic Interactive Database).
The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) would like us to remind you that the application process in ERAS is separate from the NRMP matching process. In order to be ranked in the Match, you must register with the NRMP.
