Our Third Year Fellows

Jennifer Estanilla, DO, MEd
Jennifer Estanilla, DO, MEd

Jennifer completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago and started her fellowship at Rush thereafter. She completed her undergraduate education in Child Development at the University of the Philippines and went on to complete a master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education. Prior to attending medical school, she worked as an Early Intervention specialist for the State of Nevada for 7 years. She completed her medical school training at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her research interest is neurodevelopmental and health outcomes in very low birth weight (VLBW) infants after treatment with bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP).

Jennifer is a passionate child advocate and has worked extensively with the American Academy of Pediatrics throughout medical school and residency. She works to address food insecurity among families in Chicago by leading the social mission of a Filipino food and beverage company she co-founded with her husband. Jen enjoys hiking, travel, ice skating, snowboarding, and spending time with her family.

 

Our Second Year Fellows

Emil Bielecki, MD
Emil Bielecki, MD

Emil completed his undergraduate and medical education at Loyola University in Chicago. During medical school Emil was the recipient of the Justin Shaulis Scholarship for his academic excellence. He was also the recipient of an NIH T35 Training Grant. Emil completed his pediatrics residency at Rush University Medical Center and joined the Rush neonatology fellowship program thereafter. Emil is an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys weight training and playing competitive sports. He also enjoys baking, reading and traveling.

Megan Kristine Kraemer, DO
Megan Kristine Kraemer, DO

Megan completed her undergraduate education at Loyola University in Chicago in 2013. She went on to complete her medical training at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University. During her medical training, Megan was awarded the Virginia M. Wagner Educational Grant and the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents’ Silver TOUCH Award. Megan completed her pediatrics residency at Rush University Medical Center and started her neonatology fellowship training at Rush thereafter. In her spare time, Megan enjoys Chicago sports, reading, audiobooks and musicals.

Name Background

Dr. Sasha Amiri
Sasha Amiri, MD, MS

Sasha completed his undergraduate degree at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada and his medical education at Saba University School of Medicine, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. Dr. Amiri is a Gold Humanism Honor Society Member and an American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Representative. Dr. Amiri completed his residency at the University of Buffalo, NY and then started his neonatal-perinatal fellowship training at Rush. He has contributed to advocacy campaigns focusing on firearm safety and mental health and he is very active in TECaN (Trainees and Early Career Neonatologists), which is a sub-section of the AAP Section on Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Sasha’s hometown is Toronto Canada, and in his spare time he is an amateur astronomer.

Dr. Neicey Baxter
QuaNeicey (Neicey) Baxter, MD

Neicey completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina, and her medical education at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She completed her residency training at the University of South Carolina/Prisma Health, Columbia, South Carolina, and then started her neonatology fellowship at Rush. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Dean’s Scholarship and the Rodman-Rhode Scholarship. Neicey loves football. Go Cowboys and go Gamecocks! She also enjoys cooking, traveling, and anything outdoors.
