Professional Development
One of our goals in the CTEI is to provide faculty with opportunities to grow as educators and explore new technologies and innovative ideas. One way is by providing workshops that are offered both face-to-face and online. All online workshops are recorded and available to faculty for later viewing. Watch your Outlook calendar for invitations. All virtual workshop invitations will include the links to log in for virtual sessions. Light refreshments will be served at face-to-face (F2F) sessions.
Need help on how to use Canvas?
Visit our CTEI YouTube channel in the Canvas Playlist for recorded Canvas workshop sessions and Canvas tutorials. Please visit often as we continually offer trainings and create videos.
In addition, we have other options where you can get help or more information:
- One-on-one sessions with an ID
To schedule one-to-one training sessions for yourself or your department, visit our CTEI Open Lab Bookings page to book an appointment with one of our Instructional Designers. Note: you will need to log into O365 with your RUSH email and password.
- Growing with Canvas - self paced course for faculty
This is a self-paced training course which we encourage all faculty to complete once they have access to Canvas. You will even get a special digital badge for completing the course!
If you are able to log in with your RUSH email and password, you will likely not see anything there yet. To enroll in the Growing with Canvas self paced course, contact us at CTEI@rush.edu and one of our Instructional Designers will add you to the course as student. The ID will also create a Sandbox course for you to practice what you are learning in the Growing with Canvas course. Here you will be the teacher.
Canvas can be accessed here using your RUSH username and password.
CTEI Training
Our training classes are sent to all faculty through an Outlook invitation. If you are not receiving these regular invitations (approximately two to four invitations each month), please contact CTEI@rush.edu to be added to the distribution list.

CLUB Basic Training
All RUSH University Faculty can self-enroll in the fully online, self-paced training for the CLUB classrooms. If you wish to have face-to-face training, please contact CTEI@rush.edu for an appointment.
