Chicago

RUSH University Medical Center is located in the heart of the “medical district” near the Loop/downtown Chicago. Chicago is the largest city in the Midwest, it is bordered by Lake Michigan with its many public beaches, bike/walk pathways on the lakefront and boat rides along the Chicago River. Chicago is host to many festivals, restaurants, food trucks, and museums, and the largest convention center in North America. Other notable attractions include the Willis Tower, John Hancock Center, House of Blues, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry and comedy shows at Second City Improv.

A big highlight is free parking on campus for trainees and a variety of commuting options. The CTA train system (the “L”) has two stops within walking distance. The train is so close it can be heard traveling under the sleep center!
