Welcome to the Department of Pathology’s website at Rush University in Chicago. We are proud participants in the Rush University Medical Center’s mission, vision and values. Our department has a long tradition of outstanding diagnostic excellence, collaboration with the clinical services, research and pathology education. Several of our faculty members are regionally and nationally recognized for their subspecialty expertise. We routinely evaluate a large volume of complex specimen material and participate in multidisciplinary conferences for the best possible patient care. Our residents include U.S. and international medical graduates, who have an impressive success rate in Pathology Board certification and in pursuing subspecialty fellowship training at premier institutions.
