Emergency ultrasound research
Our educational program is based on ACEP’s Emergency Ultrasound Guidelines as well as ACEP’s Policy on Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship training. This includes clinical ultrasound experiences in all primary and advanced applications in multiple environments. Fellows complete >1,000 quality-reviewed Emergency Ultrasound examinations, learning directly from fellowship directors at the bedside, image review sessions, journal clubs, research meetings, and national educational conferences.
Quality assurance is ongoing with dedicated weekly, one-on-one sessions with ultrasound faculty. All exam are reviewed and fellows learn the skills required to become skilled reviewers upon graduation. Fellows will also learn how to create and maintain quality assurance systems.
