The Medical Student Affairs (MSA) academic support services team is here to help Rush Medical College students successfully navigate the various transitions during their medical school journey. Our academic support model offers three tiers of support: general, enhanced, and remediation.
MSA’s dedicated student support services managers offer individual appointments for all students. These appointments cover topics to help remove barriers to your academic success of students. Common topics covered include, but are not limited to:
The Peer Education Program is designed to help students receive content reinforcement to supplement their learning throughout their academic years at Rush Medical College. Peer educators consist of M2-M4 students who serve as academic leaders and develop and facilitate content both for preclerkship and clerkship curriculum.
The Resident Education Program support clerkship students with the transition to the clinical world by offering content support, success strategies for each clerkship and shelf test preparation. The team consists of ~14 residents, including residents from each of the following specialties: Internal Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pediatrists Surgery, and OB/GYN.
In addition to discussing and recommending academic support services, the student support services managers work closely with different areas/departments within the Office of Integrated Medical Education, as well as our Rush University partners, including:
