Specialist in Blood Bank Technology Certificate

This certificate program offers a flexible online education to meet your needs as an experienced professional seeking advanced knowledge of immunohematology and its related disciplines.

The blood bank technology specialist program enables you to do the following:

While enrolled in the specialist in blood bank (SBB) technology certificate program, you may also complete the Master of Science in clinical laboratory management option. These programs prepare you for the SBB and diplomat in laboratory management certification examinations offered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification. (Check the ASCP website for eligibility requirements for these certifications.)

SBB coursework transfer policy: If you have received SBB training from an accredited program outside of Rush University, you may receive up to 11 credit hours for your equivalent coursework after successfully completing a departmental evaluation.

Honestly, I am having a blast with this program. I never thought I would look forward to coming home and doing homework, but I am. I am really impressed with the caliber of students, all of the different perspectives that are presented and the materials. I am so happy to be a part of this program.
