Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Management Admissions & Deadlines

Admissions requirements

You need the following qualifications for admission into the Master of Science in clinical laboratory management program:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory, biological or a related science earned from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university earned prior to matriculation
    (The program will accept a BS/BA degree from a foreign institution for admission into the MLS.MS, CLM.MS and CLMB.MS programs with the following stipulations:
    The foreign transcript must be evaluated by World Education Services or Educational Credential Evaluators, and the evaluation must result in a determination that the student has earned a bachelor’s degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree.
    The applicant must satisfy the CHS policy for the TOEFL exam)
  2. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  3. MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA) or other certification (other certifications will be considered on an individual basis)
  4. Two years of experience working in an accredited laboratory

Entry term: Spring (January), Summer (May), Fall (September)
Application cycle: September - August
Recommended application deadline: At least two months prior to anticipated entry term

You will also need the following ready to submit directly to AHCAS:

  1. Official transcripts from every U.S. college or university attended. Include international course evaluations for all coursework completed outside the United States.
  2. Name and email address of three references. AHCAS will contact each reference with instructions on how to complete an online evaluation.
  3. Personal statement.
  4. Resume or CV.

If your native language is not English, submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores.

You will be informed if you are required to complete the secondary Rush Application. Please do not complete the secondary application until you have been asked to do so.
