Mission
The Rush University Weightlifting Club is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and community through strength training. Our mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where students of all experience levels—especially beginners—can learn the fundamentals of weightlifting. We emphasize proper form, injury prevention, and safe training practices while fostering confidence and discipline both inside and outside the gym.
Through guided sessions, peer mentorship, and educational workshops, we strive to demystify strength training and empower students to incorporate fitness into their daily lives. The club also serves as a supportive community where members can set goals, track progress, and share their passion for physical and mental well-being.
Whether you are brand new to lifting or an experienced athlete, the Rush University Weightlifting Club provides the tools, knowledge, and encouragement to help you achieve your personal fitness goals while building lifelong skills and friendships.
