Latinx Nursing Student Association

Mission

The Latinx Nursing Student Association (LNSA) strives to create a supportive space where Latinx students can connect, find guidance through mentorship, and use their voices to advocate for meaningful change. By uplifting one another we strengthen representation and empower future nurses to lead with pride in both their culture and profession.

Vision

To cultivate a community where members are celebrated for their cultural identity, empowered to succeed and equipped to become leaders who advance equity, representation, and excellence in nursing.

Goals

Mentorship & Support – Establish strong mentorship networks that guide students through academic, professional, and personal growth. - Representation & Advocacy – Strengthen the presence and voice of Latinx students in nursing by promoting equity and advocating for systemic change alongside other cultural communities at Rush University. - Cultural Empowerment – Celebrate Latinx heritage and create spaces where culture and identity are recognized as strengths in the nursing field. - Professional Development – Provide opportunities for members and allies to strengthen leadership skills, expand their networks, and prepare for successful nursing careers. - Community Engagement – Collaborate with peers, faculty, and community organizations to promote health equity and serve the needs of underrepresented populations.
