Mission

Rush Occupational Therapists in Action (ROTA) is an advising committee to the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) that seeks to hold the Rush Occupational Therapy (OT) Department accountable for promoting racial and ethnic equity through education, advocacy, and overall program improvement.

Typical Events

Our events center on education and advocacy for racial and ethnic minority groups, with a focus on fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for OT students and faculty. We also encourage students to carry these principles into their future clinical practice. ROTA facilitates this learning through collaborative crafts, interactive discussions, and fun community events that celebrate both our similarities and our differences!
