HEAL Small Changes Weight Loss Program (AFN Pilot Program) | 2019
Offered a 12-session group-based weight loss program to African American West Side church members led by Rush faculty member and two church members held in West Side church.
Higi Program (AFN Program) | 2018
Partnered with Higi to install and evaluate digital Smart Health stations in seven West Side Churches.
Families Overcoming Under Stress (FOCUS) Program (AFN Program) | 2018
Led adaptation and implementation of evidence-based FOCUS Program to promote psychological resiliency among African American church members in a 16-hour training for 20 West Side church members held in church on West Side of Chicago.
Active Listening Training Program (AFN Program) | 2018
Led development, implementation and evaluation of an 8 session active listening program for West Side Chicago church members to train them how to assist others in coping with psychological trauma. Program was led by a professor from Chicago Theological Seminary, an African American chaplain, and an African American Pastor and located in a West Side church.
Spiritual Care Training Program (AFN Program) | 2017
Led development, implementation and evaluation of a lay chaplaincy program for West Side Chicago church members to train them how to assist others in coping with psychological trauma. Program was taught by African American chaplains.
Alive Faith Network Pastor Wellness Program, Chicago, IL | 2013
In response to requests from pastor for support for physical and mental health, developed and implemented two six-month pastor wellness programs for African American pastors, consisting of an offsite 2-3 day retreat followed by bi-weekly dinner meetings to encourage pastor wellness; implemented a series of Clergy Forums at Rush to offer interactive health workshops to regional clergy; developed and led multiple Clergy Resilience trainings to address pastor mental health; offering two six-week support sessions for pastors led by mental health professional.
