Alive Faith Network research focuses exclusively on generating the knowledge that allows health care professionals, pastors and community members to design practical solutions – together. The studies are designed with collaboration between academic researchers at Rush and AFN community partners in order to address issues that are important to the community.
Keep It Movin' (KIM) is a year long church-wide physical activity program designed to improve physical function. This health intervention creates focus groups amongst church communities in Chicago and the Western Suburbs to address community-wide health concerns and physical limitations.
The Abundant Living Program is a church-based program delivered through Rush University Medical Center researchers and the Alive Faith Network.
Heart 2 Heart is a program developed by the Alive Faith Network, a collaboration between Rush researchers and faith-based organizations to address health inequities in cardiovascular disease among Chicago residents. Heart 2 Heart incorporates the latest scientific health information in a way that is easy to understand and implement. This program was designed by nutrition and behavioral change experts and community members.
Money Smart for Adults is a financial education program created by the FDIC. Topics discussed include budgeting, banking, and building and repairing credit.
