Below are a few tips and tricks that can help you to have a fun and successful interview day at Rush Medical College:
Coordinate your Travel and Overnight Arrangements
Learn more about traveling to and/or staying in Chicago on our RMC Interview Day - Planning Your Visit page.
Also, if you need a place to stay the night prior to your interview, consider staying with a Student Host. Staying with a host is completely free and you will have an opportunity to spend time with a current RMC student! Learn more about the RMC Student Host Program here.
Do Your Homework
On your interview day, we will expect you to arrive having done your homework and with some basic knowledge regarding Rush Medical College. We encourage you to explore the RMC Website and arrive prepared with questions specific to the student experience at Rush.
Each year, RMC receives over 10,000 AMCAS applications for a class of 144. Out of 10,000+ applications, you were hand-selected by a member of the Committee on Admissions to interview at Rush Medical College. Based on that fact alone, you should be incredibly proud of yourself.
The Recruitment Day at Rush is an opportunity for us to get to know YOU. Through conversational interviews we hope to explore your application further and learn more about your path to medicine. We expect you to know your application inside and out, and be prepared to talk confidently about your accomplishments and aspirations for a career in medicine.
While we realize that interviews can be nerve-wracking, we hope you will find your interview experience at Rush to be low-stress and better yet, enjoyable!
