Meet Our Current Fellow

Dr. Alex Reardon

Alexander Reardon

I grew up in Michigan and completed medical school at the University of Michigan. I went on to train in Emergency Medicine at Northwestern, where I developed a growing interest in how the emergency department can serve as a critical entry point into addiction care.

During residency, I contributed to research on buprenorphine and naloxone implementation at the health system level and published work on advancing addiction medicine education for emergency medicine residents. As a fellow, I hope to deepen both clinical expertise and research focused on improving medication for opioid use disorder access and outcomes, particularly at the intersection of emergency and addiction care. I am also interested in expanding work on medications for alcohol use disorder, a treatment gap we see frequently. Outside of medicine, I enjoy: riding my bike, tending my patio garden, lifting weights, making espresso drinks at home, discovering new music, and spending as much time as possible with my wife, Emma, my dog, Olive, and my cat, Lincoln.
