Busted: All students have access to free, unlimited counseling, coaching, and other wellness-related services at the Center for Clinical Wellness for the duration of their program at Rush. Ahead of graduation, our team will help students get connected with a long-term care provider if needed.

Busted: The facility design, business process, and all interactions with our team members were built on the fundamental principles of confidentiality and privacy. Our innovative waiting room minimizes visibility and is paired with a one-way flow of traffic to ensure confidentiality for our visitors.
Our private consultation rooms are fitted with highly-specialized acoustic foam embedded within the walls to absorb sound transmission. The Center for Clinical Wellness does not use Epic or Rush-wide medical records. All documentation is stored in a multi-layer encrypted, HIPAA-compliant system, licensed and used only by the Center for Clinical Wellness.
Busted: You can access psychology, psychiatry, and other wellness-related services through the Center for Clinical Wellness. All clients first meet with a social worker foran intake session for clinical assessment of needs and to determine goals. Our social work team are trained mental health professionals who provide clients with psychotherapy as well as care management support. They can help you navigate your care overall and assist if you need support from a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Busted: While the Center for Clinical Wellness does not now offer open office hours due to COVID-19 spacing restrictions, student accessibility and convenience are important to us. If students are unable to find an appointment time that meets their needs or want to schedule/change an appointment within 24 hours, you can contact us at rushwellness@rush.edu.

Busted: In 2018, the American College Health Association (ACHA) performed an on-site review of Rush University services, including the University Counseling Center. As part of their final recommendations, they outlined several best practices, which encompassed revisiting the location, scope, and services offered to learners, in order to better promote a culture of wellbeing. The transition to the Center for Clinical Wellness is directly in line with these recommendations.
