Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition (MS) Track
Our MS track is designed for dietitians and professionals looking to expand their impact in nutrition by exploring how diet intersects with genetics, lifestyle, and the social and environmental factors that shape health.
This 100% online program is open to all backgrounds—attracting dietitians, healthcare professionals, students preparing for careers in medicine and related fields, and professionals outside healthcare who want to deepen their understanding of nutrition.
The flexible format empowers you to learn on your schedule, finishing in as little as one year or progressing at your own pace. You’ll gain the knowledge and skills to drive meaningful change in your practice, your community, and your career.
Our approach
MS Track: Advancing Expertise in Clinical Nutrition
Our MS track is designed for dietitians and professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in nutrition and its impact on health and disease. The 100% online format offers the flexibility to learn when and where it works best—ideal for working professionals or students taking a gap year before entering graduate healthcare programs such as medicine, PA, or nursing.
The coursework integrates landmark research and emerging evidence while addressing the complexity of nutrition—examining how genetics, lifestyle, environment, and social factors shape health outcomes.
By connecting nutrition science with behavioral influences (such as sleep habits and stress management) and social factors (like cultural food traditions and food access), graduates learn to design evidence-based interventions that improve personal health, enhance professional practice, and strengthen future applications to healthcare programs.
Clinical Nutrition program length and location
The program can be completed in 12 months if you attend full-time and 15 to 24 months if you attend part-time.
This is an ideal program for part-time study. A reduced course load and online learning give you the ability to continue to work full-time.
You must complete the required 30 credits within five years of matriculation, whether you attend full or part time.
