Rush University College of Nursing is currently engaged in a comprehensive review and revision of the curricula for its Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs. This work is part of our ongoing commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with evolving standards in nursing education and practice.
As these revisions are underway, all program information currently published—including plans of study, course sequences, degree requirements, and program descriptions—should be considered provisional and subject to change. Updated curricula will be communicated and posted once they are finalized and approved through the College’s and University’s academic governance processes.
Timeline
- The PhD program’s curriculum revisions went into effect Fall term 2026.
- We anticipate the revised curricula for the MSN and DNP programs will go into effect at the beginning of Fall term 2027.
