Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences Program Details

Curriculum

The PhD program in Health Sciences will consist of the following:

  • Education (9 semester hours)
  • Research & Statistics (18 semester hours)
  • Leadership (12 semester hours)
  • Professional Development (3 semester hours)
  • Dissertation Research (12 semester hours minimum)

The minimum number of semester hours required for the PhD degree in Health Sciences
is 54 semester hours.

Online Courses

The program courses are taught in an asynchronous online format.

Please note these online study restrictions if you are a non-Illinois resident or an international student. If you are a distance student, you will need to travel to campus for your comprehensive examination and final dissertation defense.
