Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center. We are proud to be a department committed to excellence in patient care, education, research, and community and health equity.
Our mission is to improve the delivery of reproductive healthcare in the diverse communities we serve through the integration of innovative, inclusive, and affirming patient care, education, and research. From routine preventive care to the most complex obstetric and gynecologic conditions, our faculty, trainees, and staff work collaboratively to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Education is a cornerstone of our department. We are dedicated to training the next generation of physicians, scientists, and healthcare leaders through a rigorous residency program, innovative curricula, and a supportive learning environment that values professionalism, diversity, and lifelong learning. We currently offer a fellowship in Complex Family Planning and hope to expand this offering to other divisions as well.
Research and discovery are integral to advancing women’s health. Our department is actively engaged in basic, translational, clinical, and population-based research aimed at improving outcomes and shaping the future of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We are proud of our faculty’s contributions to scientific innovation and their leadership at the regional, national, and international levels.
Equally important is our commitment to equity and advocacy. We strive to address health disparities, partner with our communities, and promote policies that support the health and well-being of women and families.
As a department, we are proud to be consistently ranked among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report and to have several of our physicians recognized as Chicago’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly.
We hope you will explore our website to learn more about our clinical services, educational programs, research initiatives, and dedicated team. We are honored to care for our patients, educate our learners, and contribute to the advancement of women’s health.
Sincerely,
Chairperson, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
