Fellowship Director
Timothy Gallagher, MD, completed his emergency medicine residency at NYU/Bellevue and was a Health Equity Scholar at the Center for Health Equity Education and Advocacy. He is currently the Program Director for EXPLORE Rush and a lead faculty member of the Rush Medical College Health Equity and Social Justice Leadership Program. His research and advocacy focus on equitable access to healthcare and interprofessional team development.
Assistant Fellowship Director
Bushra Alam, DO, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Riverside Medical Center where she was actively engaged with resident curriculum development including research to increase inclusivity and diversity in graduate medical education at her program. Alam also worked on patient advocacy initiatives with a particular focus on food insecurity. She is dedicated to advancing health equity in our community with a passion for chronic disease prevention, nutrition, and food accessibility.
Alam enjoys cooking, gardening, and travel.
