Fellowship Director
Timothy Gallagher, MD, completed his emergency medicine residency at NYU/Bellevue and was a Health Equity Scholar at the Center for Health Equity Education and Advocacy. He is currently the Program Director for EXPLORE Rush and a lead faculty member of the Rush Medical College Health Equity and Social Justice Leadership Program. His research and advocacy focus on equitable access to healthcare and interprofessional team development.
Assistant Fellowship Director
Bushra Alam, DO, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Riverside Medical Center where she was actively engaged with resident curriculum development including research to increase inclusivity and diversity in graduate medical education at her program. She is the Medical Director of the Community Health Plate, a program focused on nutrition and culinary medicine as a form of chronic disease prevention. She is dedicated to maternal health equity and women's health with initiatives dedicated to improving post partum health outcomes.
Alam enjoys cooking, gardening, and travel.
