GI research freezer farm

The Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition houses 15 large -80° freezers to store valuable research materials for long-term storage. Located in Cohn lab 253, the laboratory facility has both a backup generator for power as well as CO2 backup capability and is not vulnerable to extreme weather events. All the freezers are hooked up to an electronic remote monitoring system that keeps track of temperature jumps and can alert the staff immediately. Our research materials are all stored and located easily using the Freezerworks software.
