Michele Prod, MT(ASCP), CHS(ABHI)

Michele Prod, MT(ASCP), CHS(ABHI), is an instructor and lab supervisor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science. She has been a medical laboratory scientist for over 30 years, specializing in clinical transplant or human leukocyte antigen (HLA) testing. She also inspects HLA labs throughout the U.S. for several clinical laboratory accreditation agencies. She feels very fortunate to be associated with the medical laboratory science program at Rush, as she strongly believes in the crucial role that the laboratory plays in health care and in the importance of recruitment and development of new clinical laboratory scientists in evidence-based medicine.
