We accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
We require USMLE I, II, III above the 50th percentile. Candidates must be presently enrolled in or graduated from a university-based, accredited anesthesiology residency program or other residency program with rotations in related specialties. Candidates must be eligible to take the board examination in anesthesiology by the start of the fellowship.
International medical graduate applicants must have a current Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates Certificate (ECFMG) and all applicants must submit the required documentation on ERAS:
- Curriculum vitae
- Medical school transcript
- A Dean’s letter of evaluation
- Three letters of recommendation including one from your current program
- U.S. Medical Licensing Examination(USMLE Steps I, II and III and/or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) transcripts
The fellowship begins on August 1, with applications accepted up to one year in advance. The rolling admissions policy means that candidates may be offered positions as soon as their applications and personal interviews are completed, with applications closed as soon as all the positions are filled.
Our in-person interview season begins in May and may run through mid-July. Interviewees will spend the day with us at Rush University Medical Center at 1750 W. Harrison St. in Chicago to meet with all core faculty members and current fellows and to visit Rush University Medical Center.
