This program is for college students interested in research careers.
Program length: 9 weeks
Program dates: June 16 – August 8, 2025
Program details
All Summer scholars will receive a stipend of $18/hr, with full time being 36-40 hrs/week. Students are responsible for their own housing during program.
Research areas include:
Immunology/Microbiology
Neuroscience
Cell Biology
The program also includes career development workshops, summer scholars journal clubs and a research symposium where each scholar will give a short presentation on their research completed during the program.
How to apply
Once you have gathered all the required information below, please send an email to SSP_admin@rush.edu All attachments must be in the form of a PDF. Any email that is incomplete will not be reviewed for admissions.
- Unofficial transcript(s) attached as a pdf from each school you have attended.
- 500-word personal statement on why you want to pursue a career in research attached as a pdf.
- One letter of recommendation on College/University letterhead that you collect from your recommender and attach as a PDF. Your recommender does not need to send it to us directly, you are to attach it as part of your email application.
