Rush Integration for Success and Excellence (RISE) Program - Department of Emergency Medicine
Resources for New Faculty at Rush University Medical Center, Department of Emergency Medicine.
Welcome to the Department of Emergency Medicine at Rush University Medical Center! Joining a large and dynamic department across multiple hospitals and health systems can feel overwhelming, so we’ve created this resource to simplify your orientation and ensure a smooth transition.
During orientation, new faculty members will be introduced to Rush University Medical Center and our affiliated health systems. You will learn about our mission and vision, meet our leadership and staff, and gain an understanding of your clinical roles, schedules, benefits, and compensation.
To help ease your integration, we pair all new faculty with a dedicated faculty peer mentor —a colleague who will help guide your integration into academic emergency medicine. They are primarily a resource for you to discuss your goals and both short- and long-term career planning. Additionally, new faculty will participate in orientation shifts, working alongside experienced colleagues to familiarize themselves with the unique workflows and nuances of our clinical environment.
We’re excited to welcome you to our team and look forward to your contributions to the exceptional care we provide.
