Rush Students for Global Health

Mission

Rush Students for Global Health is dedicated to increasing awareness of current global health issues and professional development opportunities, and to collaborating across health care professions to address local and global health inequities. This organization seeks to introduce and cultivate an interest in global health within the Rush University community through lectures and forums, and by advertising international medical experiences available to Rush University students and health care professionals. It welcomes students from all colleges with interest or experience in global health and health inequities in our own local community.

Rush Students for Global Health collaborates with the Rush University Department of Global Health to host multiple events throughout the year. These events include documentary film screenings and panel discussions on cultural issues, as well as the Global Health Week which takes place during the Spring term. Rush Students for Global Health also strives to connect students with clinical opportunities abroad by promoting trips through the Office of Global Health and sharing the experiences of past students in clinical rotations and service trips.
