American Medical Women's Association

The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) is an organization which functions at the local, national, and international level. Our mission is to advance women in medicine and improve women’s health. We achieve this by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring, and strategic alliances. Rush’s AMWA chapter strives to support members’ professional and personal development. Additionally, the members of AMWA work together with the Rush community to empower women and advance women’s health initiatives. AMWA also works closely with other Rush Student Affinity Groups and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to forward our goal of developing health care professionals who support diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of health care.
