Tohru Irie

Irie started performing orthopedic surgery in 2002. After he earned the Japanese Board of Orthopedic Surgery, he started research on ligament tissue engineering at Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine in Japan. After obtaining his PhD in 2010, he was engaged in clinical work and research as a hip surgeon at Hokkaido University Hospital. Irie came to Rush University Medical Center in April 2018, and his main research focus is hip joint morphology and biomechanics.
