The RUSH 3d Printing laboratory is a new core lab that provides 3d printing in polymers for various medical and research applications for the whole RUSH System for Health community. Our laboratory handles the complete workflow after clinical imaging is completed all the way to part production. We can print in resin (using Stereolithography with Formlabs Form 2 and 3B+ printers) and in Nylon 11/12 powder using Selective Laser Sintering (Sinterit Lisa Pro).

Over 40 materials are available from Formlabs including resins approved for biomedical use, which are also sterilizable. In addition to anatomical models, we are experienced in printing personalized surgical instruments (drill guides and cutting fixtures). Segmentation of 3D models and design of mechanical parts and prototyping is also available.

We are located in the Orthopedic Building, as part of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery Experimental Biomechanics Laboratory.
