2022 Graduate Retreat

People socializing at the Graduate Retreat

One of the goals of the Graduate College is to foster a research environment that encourages collaborations between mentors and mentees.  On October 14 and 15 the Graduate College held its inaugural Research Retreat in Oakbrook, highlighting the research being conducted by Graduate College faculty and students.  Research retreats are a staple of scientific communication, collegiality, and enable discussions in an informal environment.  The retreat provided an opportunity to connect, get creative, discuss science, and foster productive collaborations and personal relationships.  The event was made possible by the generous donations by the family and friends of Veronica Bernard, PhD (honorary) and The Veronica Bernard Memorial Wellness Fund as a component of Graduate College wellness initiatives.
