Rachel L. Boutté, PhD, is a clinical health psychologist with expertise in the influence of sociocultural factors on health behaviors and outcomes. She examines the ways in which systemic and interpersonal forms of injustice contribute to disparities in health for marginalized populations. Boutté has created and is currently testing a model to assess the influence of gendered race related stress on the mental and physical health of Black women. She aims to develop novel behavioral interventions to reduce health disparities in this population.
