Ozuru O. Ukoha, MD, is the Chair of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed a residency in general surgery at various programs including Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. He later completed a thoracic surgery fellowship at Yale University in New Haven, CT. Dr. Ukoha is board-certified in general surgery and thoracic surgery. He specializes in general thoracic surgery and has been with the program since 2001.
