Mark Hoffman, MD, graduated in 1987 with an AB degree in Philosophy from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. He obtained his MD degree in 1991 from the University of Illinois in Chicago and completed an internship in Internal Medicine in 1992 at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago. He performed his dermatology residency in 1995 at RUSH Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.
Hoffman’s academic career began as instructor of dermatology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center from 1995 to 1996. He has also served as the M-2 Dermatology Module course director at Rush since 1995.
He has held several hospital appointments in Illinois, beginning with consulting physician at Little Company of Mary Hospital (1996-1997); consulting physician, St. Francis Hospital (1996-1997); associate physician, Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn (1995-1997); and adjunct attending physician at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, (1995-1996). He has held his current positions of associate professor of dermatology and active physician at Rush University Medical Center since 1996. Hoffman is currently the medical director of the dermatology clinics.
Hoffman has published several articles and has given numerous presentations and lectures. He has been certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners since 1992 and by the American Board of Dermatology since 1995.
