Manaswita Dutta, PhD, CCC-SLP is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences in the College of Health Sciences. Dutta completed her doctoral studies at Indiana University-Bloomington. Her clinical and research interests include understanding the nature of cognitive-linguistic changes that occur as a result of aging and neurological damage. Further, she is interested in investigating the impact of such long-term cognitive-linguistic consequences on life participation and psychosocial outcomes of individuals with acquired brain injury. She is also interested in neurogenic communication disorders in bilingual adults. Dutta teaches courses on aphasia, cognition of acquired language and communication disorders, neuroscience, and research methods.
