Lauren Z. Rynar, PhD, received her doctoral degree in Clinical Health Psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She completed her postdoctoral internship in Behavioral Medicine at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at Loyola University Medical Center. Rynar’s research and clinical work has centered around psychosocial oncology and chronic disease; as such her interests have focused on the cancer care continuum and solid organ transplantation, with attention to issues specific to diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, health behavior change, quality of life and end of life. Much of her research has focused on the impact of mood and coping on disease management and progression.
