  • Jose Farfel, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center, and a member of the Department of Pathology at Rush University Medical Center. He is an internist and geriatrician, with a PhD in neuropathology of neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Farfel has extensive experience with large neuropathologic studies. His areas of interest includes the association of genomic risk factors with clinical and pathological indices of common dementias in different ancestries, and the impact of environmental and genomic risk factors for dementia in vulnerable populations.
