Jacqueline Ortiz, MA, RVT, received her undergraduate degree in vascular ultrasound from Rush in 2007 and has worked clinically in the vascular ultrasound field since then. In 2018, she received her master’s degree in applied professional studies from DePaul University, with a focus area of integrating teaching and leadership in the medical imaging field. She is the program director for the vascular ultrasound program and teaches abdominal vascular procedures, cerebrovascular procedures, physics and instrumentation lab and the senior topics/cases courses. She also serves as the current chairperson of the academics committee for the national professional organization, the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU).
