George Krempel, MBA, BS-MT(ASCP), CSSGB, is an assistant professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science. He has more than 30 years of experience in management for the health care industry and has served in both the for-profit and not-for-profit environments. Krempel started his career in the hospital laboratory as a blood banker and then worked his way to shift supervisor for Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. His administrative growth progressed until he decided to get his MBA in Health Care Finance from Illinois Benedictine College. With a master’s degree, Krempel proceeded to work as an administrative director over several hospital laboratories, leading to serving as vice president of Health Care Services at Loyola University Medical Center in 2000.
