Mechanisms of soft tissue calcification in scleroderma
Carrie Richardson, MD grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate training at Harvard University, where she majored in Social Studies. She completed medical school and fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. From there, Richardson moved to Baltimore to complete her rheumatology fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University, where her research interests focused on scleroderma and myositis. During fellowship, she also obtained a Master of Health Science degree from the Bloomberg School of Public Health through the Graduate Training Program in Clinical Investigation.
Her current clinical interests include scleroderma and myositis, and her research centers on mechanisms of soft tissue calcification in scleroderma. She believes in patient-centered care and enjoys taking care of patients with complex autoimmune diseases.
