Amanda L. Persons, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology and a member of the Center for Compulsive Behavior and Addiction. She conducts preclinical research in collaboration with T. Celeste Napier, PhD, on substance abuse and neurological disorders with an emphasis on methamphetamine abuse, Parkinson’s disease and HIV. She received her PhD in pharmacology from Loyola University Chicago in 2009 and trained as a postdoctoral fellow in neurodegenerative diseases at Rush University.
