Alyssa Knueven, MS, PA-C is an instructor for both the academic and clinical years of the Rush University Physician Assistant Studies program. Knueven received a Bachelor of Science in General Biology from Saint Xavier University and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with advanced training in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine from Rush University. She was inducted into Pi Alpha, The National Honor Society for Physician Assistants in 2016 and obtained a Certificate of Qualifications (CAQ) in General Pediatrics in 2019. Knueven practices inpatient and outpatient pediatric and adolescent medicine. She has vast research interests in both the pediatric and adult populations, as well as in PA education, including pediatric health disparities, the quality of life of chronically ill pediatric patients, the holistic management of chronic lymphoid thyroiditis and innovative educational strategies in PA training.
