Wilson researches educational measurement and evaluation, which entails a range of topics including test and instrument development and validation, program evaluation, and quantitative analysis of educational and psychological data. Recent projects have focused on evaluating the general state and use of assessments in undergraduate and graduate medical education.
Adam Wilson, PhD, joined the Rush University faculty in September of 2015 as an assistant professor. He received his PhD in anatomy and cell biology, with a doctoral minor in education, from Indiana University School of Medicine where he also served on faculty as a surgical educator. Wilson has experience administrating and teaching anatomy to a wide range of professional students as well as residents. He conducts research in the area of educational measurement and evaluation with a focus on validating assessment instruments used along the continuum of medical education. In addition to serving on a number of local committees, Wilson also serves on the advisory committee for young anatomists for the American Association of Anatomists.
